Milestones
From the start, Elysair was an innovative concept. At its origin: Frantz Yvelin. His idea: travel better while spending less, thus creating a new flight travel standard to and from France.
The project became reality with the joining of Christophe Bejach (President of the Board of Directors) and Marc Rochet (Chief Executive Officer), who bring to the venture their recognized professionalism in the world of finance and air transportation.

The major stages:
- January 2002
-
Back from a long-distance flight, Frantz Yvelin, a young engineer with a passion for aviation, asks himself a very simple question: “Why isn’t there a ‘Low Fares/Long Haul/Full Business Class’ Airline?”
- April 2002
-
After mutual reflections on the viability of such a project with Alain Guedj (now Finance Director of Elysair), Christophe Viricelle (Attaché to the Director of Flight Operations) and professionals from the field of commercial aviation (among them the former Head of Civil Aviation, Michel Scheller), Frantz Yvelin decides to pursue the plan more concretely. The objective: to offer a transatlantic airline with All-Business-Class seating at a very competitive rate.
