What is your best recollection of New York City? Peter Beard’s sixtieth birthday party in 1998.

What excites you about New York City? The cultural diversity.

What annoys you about New York City? The noise.

What is the difference between the Parisian and the New Yorker in you? The New Yorker complains less.

What is your New York City support system? Media and communication: the music, fashion, movie, art industries.

Who are the paryorkers that you know? Ellen Von Unwerth, Alexandre Geoffroy d’Assy, Antoine Gervais, Philippe Starck, Christine de Lassus, Isabelle Pierre-Emile, Jean-Marie Dru, and many others.

What is the best time of day for you in New York City? Nighttime because you never get bored there. I am invited to a different party every night.

Do you have a ritual that is intimately related to the city? Yes, I have one. During the week, I go from my Broad Street apartment that faces the NYSE to my office at Trace Magazine in Soho. I spend the weekend at Chelsea art galleries and the Chelsea Piers pool

What is your New York City dream? A view of the Statute of Liberty.
